: 2164: Hypocrisy: 3: Abu Dawud said: Muhammad bin al-Minhal narrated to us; Yazid bin Zuray' informed us; Habib al-Mu'allim narrated to us, from 'Amr bin Shu'ayb, from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib, that there were two brothers among the Ansar who had an inheritance to divide. One of them asked his companion for the division, and the other said: "If you ask me again about the division, then all my wealth is for the curtain of the Ka'bah." 'Umar said to him: "The Ka'bah has no need of your wealth. Expiate your oath and speak to your brother. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'There is no oath upon you and no vow in disobedience to the Lord, Mighty and Majestic is He, nor in severing ties of kinship, nor in what you do not own.'"
