Al-Harawi said: 'The Qadir (All-Powerful) and the Qadir (Capable) have the same meaning. It is said: I was able to do the thing (qadartu 'ala al-shay'), I am able (aqdiru), with capability (qudran, maqdiratan, muqdiratan, and qudran), meaning power. The act of exerting power over a thing is the ability to do it. Thus, Allah, Majestic and Exalted is He, is the All-Powerful, the Omnipotent, and the All-Capable over every possibility that is susceptible to existence and non-existence.
