Translation · EN

And he says: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone, I would have commanded the woman to prostrate to her husband. And if a man were to command a woman to move from a red mountain to a black mountain, and from a black mountain to a red mountain, it would be her duty to do so."

Da'if (weak). Narrated by Ibn Majah (no. 1852), al-Hakim (4/172), al-Majma' (4/310, 9/7), al-Baghawi (5/58, 518), al-Targhib (3/56), Sharh al-Sunnah (9/158), al-Manthur (2/154), al-Kanz (44775, 44797), al-Qurtubi (3/125, 5/17), Dala'il (138), Bidayah (6/156), al-Mughni 'an Haml al-Asfar (2/59), and al-Irwa' (7/58).

And Shaykh al-Albani classified it as weak.

: 5267: Her back: 2: Imam Ahmad said: Sulayman ibn Dawud—meaning Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi—narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Dawud al-Awdi, from 'Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, from al-Ash'ath ibn Qays who said: I was a guest of 'Umar—may Allah be pleased with him—and he reached for his wife and struck her, then said:

"O Ash'ath, memorize three things from me that I memorized from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: 'A man is not asked about why he struck his wife, do not sleep except upon Witr (an odd number of rak'ahs),' and he forgot the third."
