Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal—who is the Imam of the People of Hadith and the foremost in knowing the defects of transmission therein—said: "I do not know of any authentic hadith narrated concerning the Fear Prayer (Salat al-Khawf) except that they are all sound (sahih) and established. Therefore, by whichever of these hadiths the praying person performs the Fear Prayer, it is sufficient for him, if Allah wills."

1055: 5902: The Ruku' (bowing): 1: Weak (da'if). Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (H/411), who said: "This is a gharib (singular) hadith; it is narrated solely by Umar ibn al-Rimmah al-Balkhi and is not known except through his narration." It was narrated by Ahmad (4/173-174) from Surayh ibn al-Nu'man, from Ibn al-Rimmah. It was also narrated by al-Khatib (11/182-183) via the path of al-Husayn ibn Musa al-Ashyab from Ibn al-Rimmah. It was also narrated by al-Bayhaqi (2/7) via the path of Yahya ibn Yahya from Ibn al-Rimmah, who declared it weak. Al-Nawawi said in "al-Majmu' (3/106)": "Its isnad (chain of narration) is good (jayyid)."
