Translation · EN

1103: 6187: The sky: 1: Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of this verse: The Jews asked Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) to ascend to the sky while they were watching him, and to bring down to them a written book regarding what he claims to prove his truthfulness all at once, just as Moses brought the Torah, out of obstinacy towards him (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). Allah the Almighty informed His Prophet that their ancestors had treated Moses (peace be upon him) with greater obstinacy than this, when they said: "Show us Allah directly."

: 6190: Clearly: 2: Tafsir al-Qurtubi: (3/2002).

1105: 6200: Al-Tur (the Mount), he said: 1: Al-Qurtubi said: That is, because of their breaking the covenant that was taken from them, which is the implementation of what is in the Torah. That is: O Allah, remit our sins for our abandonment of Jihad and our shying away from it, until we were lost in the wilderness for forty years, so they entered crawling on their backsides, while they were saying "Hintah" (a grain of wheat) in a hair.

1107: 6212: A Prophet: 1: Narrated by Ahmad (4/240), al-Bayhaqi (8/66), and al-Hakim (1/9), who said: "This is authentic," and al-Dhahabi agreed with him.

: 6214: Severe: 2: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (1/573).

1108: 6221: Like that: 1: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (1/573).

1109: 6228: For their disbelief: 1: The discussion on this verse has already preceded in Surah al-Baqarah.

: 6230: With adultery: 2: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (1/573).
