He threw them down before him, and when he saw them, he proclaimed the greatness of Allah (takbir), then said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) saying: "Allah created one thousand nations: six hundred in the sea and four hundred on land. The first thing to perish from these nations will be the locusts, and when they perish, they will follow one another like beads on a necklace when its string is cut."

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (no. 2953), who said: Shu'bah, Isma'il ibn Ja'far, and more than one have narrated from al-'Ala' ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) a similar hadith. : 20. Particularly (Khassatan): 2. Al-Qurtubi said: He described Himself as the Entirely Merciful (al-Rahman), the Especially Merciful (al-Rahim) after saying: "Lord of the worlds" to be of the nature of pairing encouragement with warning, as the Almighty said: "Inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful. And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment."
