: 934: That: 3: Imam Ahmad said: 'Isam ibn Khalid narrated to us, Abu Bakr ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Maryam al-Ghassani narrated to me, from Khalid ibn Muhammad al-Thaqafi, from Bilal ibn Abi al-Darda', from Abu al-Darda', from the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him), who said: "Your love for a thing blinds and deafens." Weak. Narrated by Ibn 'Adi in Al-Kamil (2/472), Ithaf (1/472), Al-Kanz (44104), and Al-Durar (71). Shaykh Al-Albani said: "Weak." See: Al-Da'ifah (H/1868) and Da'if al-Jami' (H/2688).

: 938: They would have died: 2: Ibn Jarir said in his Tafsir: It has reached us that the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) said: "If the Jews had wished for death, they would have died and seen their places in the Fire, and those who engaged in mutual cursing (mubahalah) with the Messenger of God (peace and blessings of God be upon him) would have returned finding neither family nor wealth." Narrated by Ahmad (1/148), Ithaf (7/177), Al-Manthur (1/89), Ibn Kathir (2/43, 8/144, 461), Al-Qurtubi (2/33), Al-Tabari (1/336), Al-Mughni 'an Haml al-Asfar (2/385), and Al-Majma' (6/314). Al-Haythami said: It is in the Sahih (collection) but with a different context; it was also narrated by Al-Bazzar and the narrators of the Sahih.
