And it is also in the Sahih: "Indeed, Allah grants respite to the oppressor, until when He seizes him, He does not let him escape."

Authentic. Narrated by al-Bukhari (6/94), al-Fath (8/354), al-Bayhaqi (6/94), al-Jawami' (5009), al-Mishkat (5124), al-Baghawi (3/252), al-Manthur (3/349), Bidayah (2/64), and Ibn Kathir (5/78, 278, 383, 434, 491).

I said: "O Messenger of Allah, will you not return it to the foundations of Abraham?" He said: "Were it not for the recent conversion of your people to Islam." 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar said: "If 'A'ishah truly heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I do not think the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) abandoned touching the two corners adjacent to the Hijr except because the House was not completed upon the foundations of Abraham."
