that they made the months five. Qatada said: They intentionally took "Safar" and added it to the sacred months, joining it with Muharram in prohibition. Qutrub and al-Tabari also stated this on his authority. Based on this, al-Nasi' means an increase. And Allah knows best.

Imam Abu Muhammad ibn Atiyyah mentioned it in a marfu' (elevated) report on the authority of Ibn Abbas, saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mobilized a tribe among the tribes, but they sat back; so Allah withheld the rain from them and punished them with it.
