Translation · EN

Abi Tamimah al-Hujaymi, that he heard Abu Musa al-Ash'ari narrating from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Allah will send a herald on the Day of Resurrection, who will proclaim: 'O people of Paradise'—in a voice that will be heard by the first and the last of them—'Allah has promised you the al-husna (the most beautiful reward) and the ziydah (increase).' The al-husna is Paradise." See Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (2/414).

1946: 10346. The face (al-wajh): 1: Similar to it. Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (2/414).

10348: 2: Ibn Kathir said regarding the saying of the Almighty: "And no humiliation (wa-la dhillah)" meaning: disgrace and cloudiness; i.e., no humiliation shall befall them, neither internally nor externally.

1947: 10350. Evil (al-sharr): 1: Muslim narrated in his Sahih on the authority of Suhayb, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "When the people of Paradise enter it, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will say: 'Do you want anything that I may increase for you?' They will say: 'Have You not whitened our faces? Have You not entered us into Paradise and saved us from the Fire?' He said: 'Then the veil will be removed, and they will not have been given anything more beloved to them than looking at their Lord, Mighty and Majestic.'" Ibn Kathir (8/305), al-Manthur (3/257), al-Hilyah (5/132), and al-Qurtubi (5/3169).

1948: 10359. Between them (baynahum): 1: Al-Qurtubi added: "And we have severed what was between them" of connections in the world. It is said: "Zayaltuhu fatazayala," meaning: I separated him and he separated. It is on the measure of "fa'laltu" because you say in its infinitive "tazyilan"; if it were on the measure of "fa'altu" you would say "zaylatun."

10361: And we will not be (wa-la natukkanna): 2: Thus it is in the original.

1949: 10363. Negligent (laghifilin): 1: Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of this verse: "Except for the negligent," meaning we do not hear, we do not see, and we do not reason because we were inanimate objects with no soul in us.
