2043: 10948. The unseen: 1: Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of this verse: Meaning: those tidings; and in another place, "That," meaning: that report and the stories are from the tidings of what was hidden from you.

: 10950. This: 2: He also said: Meaning, they were aware of the matter of the Flood, and the Majus (Zoroastrians) now deny it. It is also said: He meant their ignorance of the story of Noah's son, even if they heard about the matter of the Flood in general terms.

2044: 10956. Other than Him: 1: Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of this verse: Meaning, "We sent," so it is conjoined to "We sent Noah."

And it was said to him "their brother" because "...because he is one of them, and the tribe would unite them, just as you say: O brother of Tamim. And it was said: It was only said to him 'their brother' because he is..." from the children of Adam just as they are from the children of Adam, and this has preceded in "al-A'raf." They were idol worshippers. It is said: They are the two 'Ad, the first 'Ad and the later 'Ad, so these are the first. As for the later one, he is Shaddad and Luqman mentioned in His saying, the Almighty: "Iram who had lofty pillars." And 'Ad is the name of a man, then it continued for a people who attributed themselves to him.

2045: 10963. Rain: 1: In the hadith: "Whoever adheres to seeking forgiveness, Allah will grant him a way out from every worry and a relief from every distress, and will provide for him from where he does not expect."
