This is better than how they greeted him, because the nominal sentence (al-raf') indicates stability and permanence.

When Sarah observed that he had honored them and she herself stood up to serve them, she laughed and said: How strange are these guests of ours; we serve them ourselves out of honor to them, yet they do not eat our food.

He said: "Say: O Allah, bestow blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You bestowed blessings upon Abraham and upon the family of Abraham; and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham; indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Majestic."
