The angels had told him: Allah has assigned to this town angels who have with them the sound of thunder, the flash of lightning, and mighty thunderbolts. We have informed them that Lot will go out, so do not harm him; his sign is that he does not look back, and his two daughters should not look back, so let not what you see terrify you. Lot went out, and Allah folded the earth for him at that time until he was saved and reached Abraham.

٢٠٦٥: ١١٠٨٦: أحد: ١: قوله تعالى: «ولا يلتفت منكم أحد» فجوزوا الرفع والنصب، وذكر هؤلاء أنها خرجت معهم وأنها لما سمعت الوجبة التفتت وقالت: وا قوماه فجاءها حجر من السماء فقتلها ثم قربوا له هلاك قومه تبشيرا له لأنه قال لهم أهلكوهم الساعة.
٢٠٦٦: ١١٠٩١: بقريب: ١: المنثور: (٣/ ٣٢٤) . قال بعض أهل التفسير: إن لوطا خرج بابنتيه ليس معه غيرهما عند طلوع الفجر، وأن الملائكة قالت له: إن الله قد وكل بهذه القرية ملائكة معهم صوت رعد، وخطف برق، وصواعق عظيمة، وقد ذكرنا لهم أن لوطا سيخرج فلا تؤذوه وأمارته أنه لا يلتفت، ولا تلتفت ابنتاه فلا يهولنك ما ترى فخرج لوط وطوى الله له الأرض في وقته حتى نجا ووصل إلى إبراهيم.
