: 11067. And his wives: 3: Surah al-Ahzab, verse 6.

2063: 11071. Right-minded: 1: Ibn Kathir said in the interpretation of this verse: That is, there is goodness in him; he accepts what I command him to do and refrains from what I forbid him from doing.

: 11073. Right: 2: He also said: That is, you surely know that we have no need for our women and do not desire them.

2064: 11074. The men: 1: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (2/453).

: 11076. His people: 2: Hasan. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (H/3116) who graded it hasan. Also narrated by Ahmad (2/332), al-Bukhari in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (605), and Mushkil (1/136).

2065: 11086. Any of you: 1: Regarding the saying of the Almighty, "And let none of you look back," they permitted both the nominative and accusative readings. These people mentioned that she went out with them, and when she heard the mighty blast, she turned back and said, "O my people!" Then a stone from the sky struck her and killed her. Then they brought near to him the destruction of his people as good tidings for him, because he had said to them, "Destroy them at this hour."

2066: 11091. Near: 1: Al-Manthur: (3/324). Some of the people of exegesis said: Lot went out with his two daughters, with no one else with them, at the break of dawn. The angels had told him: Allah has assigned to this town angels who have with them the sound of thunder, the flash of lightning, and mighty thunderbolts. We have informed them that Lot will go out, so do not harm him; his sign is that he does not look back, and his two daughters should not look back, so let not what you see terrify you. Lot went out, and Allah folded the earth for him at that time until he was saved and reached Abraham.

2067: 11097. The greatest: 1: In al-Durr: "Saygha, Sagharha, 'Asra, Duma, and Sadum" (4/463).

2069: 11105. Layered: 1: Ibn Kathir said regarding the saying of the Almighty, "Layered": He said:
