2102: 11332: For their names: 1: Reported by al-Hakim: (4/396). He said: "This is a hadith with an authentic chain of transmission, and they (al-Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it."

2103: 11337: Your Lord: 1: His saying, the Most High: "And thus your Lord will choose you." Muqatil said: By means of prostration to you. Al-Hasan said: By means of prophethood. And al-ijtiba' (selection) is the choosing of the loftiest matters for the one who is chosen, and its origin is from 'jabaytu' (I gathered) a thing, meaning: I collected it, and from this is 'I gathered water in the basin.' This was said by al-Nahhas. This is a commendation from Allah—the Most High—for Joseph, peace be upon him, and an enumeration of the blessings He bestowed upon him, which are: the empowerment in the land, and the teaching of the interpretation of narrations; and they were unanimous that this refers to the interpretation of dreams.

2104: 11342: The fire: 1: It has been established in the Sunnah from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "If one of you sees what he likes, let him speak of it, and if he sees what he dislikes, let him turn to his other side, let him spit three times to his left, let him seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and let him not tell anyone about it, for it will not harm him." Authentic. Agreed upon. Reported by al-Bukhari (9/55), Muslim in (The Dream, H/5), al-Tirmidhi (H/3453), Abu Dawud (H/5022), Ahmad (3/8), al-Hakim (4/392), al-Manthur (3/312), Ibn al-Sunni (764), al-Kanz (41396), Ibn Majah (H/3908), Sharh al-Sunnah (12/307), al-Mishkah (4613), and al-Khatib (1/484, 9/251).
