his wealth. Neither was there any (desire) among the caravan, because of the brothers' statement: "He is a slave who has run away from us"—and zuhd (indifference) is the lack of desire—nor was there any among those arriving, because they feared their companions would share with them, and they saw that a small amount from his fortune was more appropriate in (keeping him) alone.
