Tafsir Ibn Abi Hatim

Translation · EN

2129: 11506: Allah: 1: The previous source for Ibn Kathir, who said: "A strange statement."

: 11507: That: 2: It was narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) that he said: "Four infants spoke: the son of the hair-comber of Pharaoh's daughter, the witness of Yusuf, the associate of Jurayj, and Isa ibn Maryam." It was narrated by Al-Hakim (2/497).

It was narrated by Al-Hakim (2/497), Al-Manthur (4/15), Ibn Kathir (4/310, 5/27), Al-Qurtubi (9/172), and Al-Da'ifah (Hadith no. 880).

: 11509: The King: 3: Tafsir al-Thawri: (p. 141).

2130: 11516: This: 1: Ibn Kathir said in the interpretation of this verse: Meaning, ignore this and turn away from it; that is, do not mention it to anyone.

: 11518: The sinners: 2: He also said in the interpretation of this verse: He is speaking to his wife, and he was gentle-natured and lenient; he excused her because she had seen wealth she could not restrain herself from, so he said to her: "Ask forgiveness for your sin"—meaning, that which occurred from you regarding the desire for evil with this young man—then he accused her of what she was innocent of.

2131: 11526: The heart: 1: Al-Nahhas said: Its meaning, according to most linguistic scholars, is that it has penetrated it deeply, because the 'shaghaf' (upper parts) of mountains are their peaks, and one is said to be 'shaghifa' by something—when the 'ghayn' is vowelled—if one is obsessed with it. However, Abu Ubaydah cited the verse of Imru' al-Qais: "You would kill me while you have obsessed over her heart, just as the one who has been anointed with pitch [obsesses over the camel]." I say: "The anointed one" refers to the camel coated with tar, which finds a pleasure in it along with a bitterness, similar to the bitterness of love alongside its pleasure. Al-Nahhas said: He likened the burning of love and its intensity to that.
