2142: 11598: And his intellect: 1: Al-Qurtubi said: The baker placed poison in the food. When the food was brought, the cupbearer said: "O King! Do not eat, for the food is poisoned." And he said to the baker: "Do not drink! For the drink is poisoned." The King said to the cupbearer: "Drink!" He drank and it did not harm him. He said to the baker: "Eat!" But he refused. He tested the food on an animal, and it died on the spot, so he imprisoned both of them for a year, and they remained in prison for that duration along with Yusuf.
The name of the cupbearer was Manja, and the other was Mujlith.
