: 12457: Death: 7: Ibn Kathir said: Worship, such as prayer and the like, is incumbent upon a person as long as his intellect remains intact, so he shall pray according to his condition, as it was established in Sahih Al-Bukhari: On the authority of 'Imran ibn Husayn—may Allah be pleased with them both—that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Pray standing; if you cannot, then sitting; and if you cannot, then on your side."
