Translation · EN

to the extent that they would place a great rock upon his chest in the intense heat and order him to associate others with Allah, yet he would refuse them while saying: "One, One." And he would say: "By Allah, if I knew a word that would be more infuriating to you than this, I would have said it."

: 12677: Forbidden (haram): 2: Ibn Kathir said: Included in this is everyone who introduces an innovation for which he has no legal basis, or declares something lawful that Allah has forbidden, or forbids something that Allah has permitted, based merely on his own opinion and desire.

: 12679: Before (qabla): 3: The saying of the Almighty: "And to those who are Jews," it is clarified that livestock and crops are lawful for this community, whereas for the Jews, certain things among them were forbidden.

: 12681: Devout/Obedient (qanita): 5: Ibn Wahb and Ibn al-Qasim narrated from Malik, who said: It reached me that Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said: "May Allah have mercy on Mu'adh, he was an Ummah (leader/guide), devout (qanita)." It was said to him: "O Abu Abd al-Rahman, Allah the Exalted only mentioned this regarding Ibrahim, peace be upon him." Ibn Mas'ud replied: "The Ummah is he who teaches people good, and the Qanit is the obedient one."

2307: 12683: Good (hasanah): 1: Ibn Kathir said in his commentary on this verse: Meaning, we have gathered for him the good of the worldly life from everything the believer needs to complete his good life.
