: The story of Iblis when he disobeyed his Lord and refused to prostrate, and he said what he said, which is what Allah the Almighty informed about in His saying: "...so they prostrated except Iblis. He said, 'Should I prostrate to one whom You created of clay?'" (Quran 17:61), meaning: from clay. This is an interrogative of denial. The discussion on the creation of Adam in [Surat] al-Baqarah and [Surat] al-An'am has already been covered thoroughly.

A poet said:
'O you, the rider driving (al-muzji) his mount, ask the tribe of Asad what this voice is.'
And the driving of the ship (izja' al-fulk) is its propulsion by a gentle wind.
