: 12802: The thrones (al-ara'ik): 5: The saying of the Almighty: "Al-ara'ik" is the plural of arika, which refers to:

Couches within canopies. It is also said: Furnishings within canopies, as stated by Al-Zajjaj. Ibn Abbas said: They are couches made of gold, embellished with pearls and rubies, with canopies over them. An arika covers the area between Sana'a and Ayla, and between Aden and Al-Jabiya.
