He created them in the loins of Adam, then He formed them when He took the covenant from them, and then the prostration occurred afterwards.

As Hafiz Abu Bakr al-Bazzar said in his Musnad: Nasr ibn Ali informed us, Amr ibn Mujamma' informed us, from Yunus ibn Khabbab, from Ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im—meaning Nafi' ibn Jubayr—from Ibn Abbas, Umar ibn al-Khattab informed us—meaning al-Sijistani—Abdullah ibn Ja'far informed us, Abdullah ibn Amr informed us, from Zayd ibn Abi Unaysa, from Yunus ibn Khabbab, from Ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to pray:
"O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly life, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my shameful parts, secure my terrors, and protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me; and I seek refuge in You, O Allah, from being assassinated from beneath me."
