of knowledge and guidance is like abundant rain, which fell upon a land; some of it was fertile, accepting the water, producing herbage and much grass, and some of it was dry [barren] lands that held the water, by which Allah benefited the people, so they drank, irrigated, and cultivated." 1506: 8633: His saying (qawluhu): 1: It came in Sahih Muslim that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to his companions on the Day of 'Arafah—while they were at their most numerous and largest gathering—: "O people, you will be asked about me, so what will you say?" They said: We bear witness that you have conveyed and counseled. So he began to raise his finger to the heaven and point it down toward them, saying: "O Allah, bear witness, O Allah, bear witness."
