(3/287), Ithafat (252), and Bidayah (1/21).

: 16518: The barren/salty: 2: See: Tafsir al-Qurtubi: (7/4938).

2910: 16519: Callers: 1: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (3/370).

: 16525: The winds: 2: Ibn Kathir said in the interpretation of this verse: Meaning: before the clouds that contain the rain by which Allah provides relief to His worshippers who are suffering from drought, humiliated, and despairing.

2911: 16528: The Creators: 1: Surah al-Mu'minun, verse 14. Al-Qurtubi said in the interpretation of this verse: They used to acknowledge that He is the Creator and the Provider, so He compelled them to admit to the Resurrection, meaning: if He is capable of the initial creation, then it is a logical necessity that He is capable of the recreation, and it is easier for Him.

2912: 16530: Wajal (dread/awe): 1: I did not find it.

2913: 16535: Except Allah: 1: Tafsir al-Qurtubi: (7/4942).

: 16536: They are resurrected: 2: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (3/372). Ibn Kathir said: "A majestic, solid, and authentic statement."

2914: 16536: His staff (mins'atuhu): 1: Surah Saba', verse 14.

: 16537: Their knowledge: 2: Tafsir Mujahid: (2/475).

: 16538: The Hereafter: 3: Al-Farra' said regarding the saying of God Almighty: "Rather, their knowledge is encompassing regarding the Hereafter": This is a good statement; it is as if he directed it toward mocking those who deny the Resurrection, similar to how you would say to a man you are calling a liar: "Yes, by my life, you have indeed grasped the predecessors, and you are narrating what I do not narrate!" while you are calling him a liar.

2915: 16547: Blind (amun): 1: His saying: "Rather, they are blind (amun) to it," meaning: their knowledge did not grasp the knowledge of the Hereafter. It is also said: Rather, their knowledge went astray and vanished regarding the Hereafter, so they have no knowledge of it.
