3052: 17256: And the Book: 1: Ibn Kathir said in his Tafsir of this verse: This is a sublime and great bestowal, along with Allah taking him as a Khalil (intimate friend) and making him an Imam for the people: that He placed prophethood and the Book in his descendants. No prophet was found after Ibrahim—peace be upon him—except that he was from his progeny; all the prophets of the Children of Israel are from the progeny of Ya'qub ibn Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, until the last of them was Isa ibn Maryam. He stood among their assembly as a bringer of good tidings of the Arab, Qurayshi, Hashimi Prophet, the Seal of the Messengers absolutely, and the master of the children of Adam in this world and the Hereafter, whom Allah chose from the core of the pure Arabs from the lineage of Isma'il ibn Ibrahim—peace be upon both of them. There was no prophet from the lineage of Isma'il other than him, upon him be the best of prayers and peace.
3054: 17270: The reprehensible: 1: His saying, the Almighty: "And in your assemblies [you commit] the reprehensible." The 'Nadi' is the gathering place. There is a disagreement regarding the reprehensible act they committed therein. A group said: They would pelt women with pebbles and mock the stranger and those passing by them.
: 17271: Among them: 2: Hasan (good). Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi (H/3190), and he said: This is a Hasan Hadith. It contains "the earth" instead of "the path." [Also narrated by] Al-Baghawi (5/192), Al-Tabari (20/93), Al-Qurtubi (13/342), Ahmad (6/341, 424), and Al-Tabari in "Al-Tarikh" (1/296).
