: 17919: His wings: 5: In Sahih Muslim, from Ibn Mas'ud, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw Gabriel (peace be upon him) having six hundred wings. And from Al-Zuhri, that Gabriel (peace be upon him) said to him: "O Muhammad, if you were to see Israfil, he has twelve thousand wings, a wing in the East and a wing in the West, and the Throne is upon his shoulders. Sometimes he shrinks due to the greatness of Allah until he becomes like a was'"—and a was' is a small bird—"until he does not bear the Throne of your Lord because of His greatness."
