And Al-Quds means purity, and the Sacred Land means: the purified one; it was named as such because Allah the Almighty brought the disbelievers out of it and populated it with the believers. Allah the Almighty has bestowed upon some places more excellence than others, just as He has bestowed upon some times more excellence than others, and likewise for some animals.
