the interpretation is that Allah—the Almighty—has forbidden the marriage of those prostitutes to the nation of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and among the most famous of them was 'Anaq.

2524: 14130: A polytheist (mushrik): 1: Al-Qurtubi said: Allah the Almighty forbade adultery in His Book, so wherever a man commits adultery, the prescribed punishment (hadd) is upon him. This is the view of Malik, al-Shafi'i, and Abu Thawr. The proponents of reason (Ashab al-Ra'y) said regarding a Muslim man who is in the Abode of War (Dar al-Harb) with safe conduct and commits adultery there, then exits, that he is not subject to the hadd. Ibn al-Mundhir said: The Abode of War and the Abode of Islam are the same, and whoever commits adultery is subject to the hadd according to the apparent meaning of His saying: "The fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each one of them with a hundred stripes."
