Translation · EN

: 15046: And become bare: 2: Al-Manthur: (4/66, 320). 2676: 15053: A scheme: 1: Al-Qurtubi said in his exegesis of this verse: Since they asked Allah for the preposterous, for the angels are not seen except at the moment of death or when the punishment descends, and Allah the Exalted—no vision can encompass Him, so no eye sees Him. Muqatil said: "They have become insolent (ʿataw)," meaning they have become arrogant in the earth. Insolence (al-ʿutuww) is the most intense form of disbelief and the most wicked form of injustice.

: 15055: The Resurrection: 2: Tafsir Mujahid: (2/449).

2677: 15058: Forbidden (mahjūran): 1: Ibn Kathir said in his exegesis of this verse: Meaning: It is not a day of good for them when they see the angels; rather, on the day they see them, there is no good news for them. This is true regarding the time of death when the angels give them tidings of the Fire and the wrath of the Compeller (al-Jabbār). The angels say to the disbeliever upon the exit of his soul: "Exit, O foul soul within a foul body! Exit to scorching heat, boiling water, and a shadow of black smoke." The soul then refuses to exit and disperses throughout the body, so they strike it.

: 15060: The good news: 2: Tafsir Ibn Kathir: (3/314).

2678: 15063: Their speech: 1: Tafsir Mujahid: (2/449).

: 15064: Prohibited: 2: Tafsir 'Abd al-Razzaq: (2/56).

: 15065: That: 3: Tafsir Mujahid: (2/449).

: 15067: From them: 4: Tafsir al-Thawri: (p. 226).

2679: 15069: Scattered (manthūran): 1: His saying: "dust scattered (habāʾan manthūran)" means: dust. The scattered dust (al-habāʾ al-manthūr) is the ray of the sun that enters through a small opening. Al-Azhari said: Al-habāʾ is what comes out through the small opening in the sunlight, resembling dust. Its interpretation: Verily, Allah the Exalted nullified their deeds until they became like dust scattered.
