2722: 15353: Peace (Salam): 1: Regarding the saying of the Almighty: "And when the ignorant address them, they say [words of] peace," al-Nahhas said: "Salam" does not here mean a greeting (taslim), rather it is from "tasallum" (resignation/detachment). The Arabs say: "Salam," meaning: "I am detached from you," meaning: "acquittal from you."

Ibn Abbas said: "Whoever prays two rak'ahs or more after the night prayer (Isha'), he has spent the night prostrating or standing."
