2800: 15842: Amin (Trustworthy): 1: Ibn Kathir said: This is an information from Allah—Exalted and Almighty—regarding His servant and Messenger Salih, peace be upon him, that He sent him to his people, Thamud, and they were Arabs living in the city of Al-Hijr which is between Wadi al-Qura and the land of Al-Sham, and their dwellings are known and famous.
We have previously mentioned in Surah Al-A'raf the narrations regarding the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, passing by them when he intended to cross to Al-Sham, then he reached Tabuk and returned to Medina to prepare for that.
