2476 - Muhammad b. 'Abd Allah b. Yazid al-Muqri' narrated to us, Sufyan reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, who said: The Sakina has a face like the face of a cat and two wings.
It was reported from Abu Malik in one of the narrations, similar to this.
The Second Aspect:
2477 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah reported to us, from Isra'il, from al-Suddi: That in which the tablets were cast.
2478 - Al-Hasan b. 'Ali b. Mihran al-Matuthti narrated to us, Hisham b. 'Ubayd Allah reported to us, Ibn al-Mubarak reported to us, from 'Isa b. 'Umar, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "In it is tranquility from your Lord"—he said: A golden basin in which the hearts of the prophets were washed.
The Third Aspect:
2479 - Al-Hasan b. Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, Bakkar b. 'Abd Allah reported to us, saying: We asked Wahb b. Munabbih about the Sakina and said to him: What is the Sakina? He said: A spirit from Allah that speaks. Whenever they differed about something, it would speak and inform them with the clarification of what they desired.

2480 - Sa'dan b. Yazid narrated to us in Samarra, al-Haytham b. Jamil reported to us, 'Abbad b. al-'Awwam reported to us, from Sufyan b. Husayn, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "In it is tranquility from your Lord"—he said: Something that Allah causes to settle in their hearts, meaning the signs (ayat) they recognize, which they find peace in. It was reported from 'Ata' similar to that.
The Fifth Aspect:
2481 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, reported to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: The Sakina is mercy.
