[His saying: "For whoever fears (Allah) and fear Allah"]

1906 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "For whoever fears (Allah)," he says: For whoever fears the disobedience of Allah.
The second aspect:
1907 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Abi Hazm al-Quta'i narrated to us, 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, who said: Ibn Mas'ud used to say: Forgiveness was only designated for whoever fears (Allah) regarding his Hajj.
The third aspect:
1908 - 'Isam b. Rawwad narrated to us, Adam b. Abi Iyas narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "For whoever fears (Allah)," he says: For what he fears in what remains.
It was narrated from al-Rabi' b. Anas, he said: All of his sin is removed, if he fears (Allah) in what remains.
The fourth aspect:
1909 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad b. Abi 'Umar al-'Adani narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from a man he named, from Abu Salih, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "For whoever fears (Allah)," he said: For whoever avoids hunting—meaning: while he is in a state of Ihram.
His saying, the Almighty: "And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life"
1910 - Muhammad b. al-'Abbas, the mawla of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Muhammad b. 'Amr Zunayj narrated to us, Salamah reported to us, from Muhammad b. Ishaq, Muhammad b. Abi Muhammad, the mawla of the family of Zayd b. Thabit, narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id b. Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: When the detachment (sariyyah) in which 'Asim and Marthad were present was struck at al-Raji', a man from the hypocrites said: "Woe to these deluded people who perished like this; they neither stayed with their families nor did they fulfill the message of their companion." So Allah, the Almighty, revealed, regarding the speech of the hypocrites and what those men endured of the goodness that befell them, saying: "And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life," meaning: because of what he shows of Islam with his tongue.
Abu Muhammad said:
It was narrated from Mujahid and 'Ata' that they both said: His public appearance in the worldly life.
