Ibrahim as a close friend (Khalil), and He spoke to Musa directly, and He made Isa like Adam, He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be," and he was. He is the slave of Allah and His Messenger, from the Word of Allah and His Spirit. He gave Sulayman a kingdom the like of which shall not belong to anyone after him, and He gave Dawud the Zabur (Psalms), and He forgave Muhammad b. Abd Allah what preceded of his sins and what followed.

2552 - Al-Hasan b. al-Minhal al-Qattan narrated to us, Muhammad b. Abd Allah b. 'Ammar reported to us, 'Afif reported to us, from Hisham b. Sa'd, from Zayd b. Aslam: "And We have indeed favored some of the prophets over others" with knowledge.

His saying: "Among them are those whom Allah spoke to"

2553 - Abu Sa'id b. Yahya b. Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid (1) regarding the saying of Allah: "Those messengers, We have favored some of them over others. Among them are those whom Allah spoke to"—he said: Allah spoke to Musa.

And it was narrated from al-Sha'bi similar to that.

His saying, the Exalted: "And raised some of them in degrees"

2554 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. Abd Allah reported to us, Abd Allah b. Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding His saying: "Degrees"—meaning: virtues.

His saying: "And We gave Isa son of Maryam the clear proofs"

2555 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salamah reported to us, who said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said: Muhammad b. Abi Muhammad narrated to me, from 'Ikrimah or Sa'id b. Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas: "And We gave Isa son of Maryam the clear proofs"—meaning: the signs that He placed at his hands, from reviving the dead, and his creating from clay the likeness of a bird, then blowing into it the spirit, so it becomes a bird by the permission of Allah; and healing the sick; and informing them of many of the unseen matters of what they store in their houses; and what He brought back to them of the Torah along with the Gospel which Allah brought down to him.
