And the Second Perspective:
2594 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad b. 'Isa—meaning al-Damighani—reported to us, 'Amr b. Humran reported to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah: "He knows what is before them"—[meaning] concerning the affairs of the Hour, "and what will be after them"—[meaning] concerning the affairs of this world.
The Third Perspective:
2595 - Muhammad b. Sa'd b. 'Atiyyah informed us in what he wrote to me: My father narrated to me, my paternal uncle al-Husayn narrated to me, my father narrated to me, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "and what will be after them"—he says: He knows what they have squandered of their deeds.
His saying, the Exalted: "And they do not encompass anything of His knowledge except what He wills"
2596 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding "And they do not encompass anything of His knowledge except what He wills"—he says: They do not know anything of His knowledge except what He wills.
2597 - 'Amr b. Thawr al-Qaysari informed us in what he wrote to me, Muhammad b. Yusuf al-Firyabi reported to us, he said: Sufyan said regarding His saying: "And they do not encompass anything of His knowledge except what He wills"—he said: No one has power over anything of His knowledge except what He wills.
2598 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding "except what He wills"—Allah says: He teaches them.
His saying: "His Kursi (Footstool/Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth"

2599 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj narrated to us, Ibn Idris reported to us, from Mutarrif b. Tarif, from Ja'far b. Abi al-Mughirah, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "His Kursi extends over"
the heavens and the earth
He said: His knowledge. It was reported from Sa'id b. Jubayr similarly.
