2605 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab b. al-Harith reported to us, Bishr b. 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And the preservation of them does not weary Him," he said: It does not burden Him.
2606 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih the scribe of al-Layth reported to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And the preservation of them does not weary Him," he says: It is not heavy upon Him.
2607 - Usayd b. 'Asim narrated to us, 'Amir b. Ibrahim reported to us, Ya'qub narrated to us, from 'Anbasah, from Ibn Abi Layla, from al-Qasim, from Mujahid, regarding "And the preservation of them does not weary Him," he said: It does not burden Him to the point of weighing Him down.
It was reported from Abu al-'Aliyah, al-Dahhak, Makhul, al-Suddi, al-Rabi' b. Anas, al-Hasan, and Qatadah: They said: The preservation of them is not heavy upon Him.
His saying: "And He is the Most High, the Most Great."
2608 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, al-Layth reported to us, Khalid b. Yazid narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Abi Hilal, from 'Umar, the mawla of Ghufratah, that Ka'b mentioned the loftiness of the All-Compelling (al-Jabbar) and said: Allah the Almighty placed the distance between the heaven and the earth as a journey of five hundred years, and the thickness of the heaven is the same, and the distance between each two heavens is the same, and its thickness is the same. Then He created the seven earths, and He placed between every two earths a distance equal to that between the lowest heaven and the earth, and the thickness of every earth is the same. قوله: ولا يؤده حِفْظُهُمَا وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ
٢٦٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أبنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عمارة عن أبي ورق، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: ولا يؤده حِفْظُهُمَا قَالَ: لَا يَكْرِثُهُ «١» .
٢٦٠٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ كَاتِبُ اللَّيْثِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَوْلَهُ: وَلا يؤده حِفْظُهُمَا يقول: لَا يَثْقُلُ عَلَيْهِ.
٢٦٠٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أُسَيْدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عن مجاهد «٢» ولا يؤده حِفْظُهُمَا قَالَ: لَا يَكْرِثُهُ حَتَّى يُثْقِلَهُ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ وَالضَّحَّاكِ وَمَكْحُولٍ وَالسُّدِّيِّ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَالْحَسَنِ وَقَتَادَةَ: قَالُوا: لَا يَثْقُلُ عَلَيْهِ حِفْظُهُمَا.

٢٦٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، ثنا اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلالٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ مَوْلَى غُفْرَةَ، أَنَّ كَعْبًا، ذَكَرَ عُلُوَّ الْجَبَّارِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى جَعَلَ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ مَسِيرَةَ خَمْسِمِائَةِ سَنَةٍ، وَكَثَّفَ السَّمَاءَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، وَمَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ سَمَائَيْنِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ، وَكَثَّفَهَا مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ثُمَّ خَلَقَ سَبْعَ أَرَضِينَ، فَجَعَلَ مَا بَيْنَ كُلِّ أَرَضِينَ، مَا بَيْنَ سَمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا وَالأَرْضِ، وَكَثَّفَ كُلَّ أَرْضٍ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، وَكَانَ الْعَرْشُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ، فَرَفَعَ الْمَاءَ حَتَّى جَعَلَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَرْشَ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِالْمَاءِ حَتَّى جَعَلَهُ تَحْتَ الأَرْضِ السَّابِعَةِ، فَمَا بَيْنَ أَعْلَى الْمَاءِ الَّذِي عَلَى السَّمَاءِ إِلَى أَسْفَلِهِ كَمَا بَيْنَ أسفله
