from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And look at your food and your drink, it has not changed." He says: It has not changed, it has not spoiled after one hundred full years, even though food and drink typically change and spoil in less time than that. This is among the signs, so take heed.
2666 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi: "It has not changed," he says: It has not changed; the figs and grapes did not turn sour, and the juice did not ferment. They remained sweet, just as they were.
It was narrated from Wahb b. Munabbih, Qatadah, and Humayd al-A'raj, that they said: It has not changed.
And the second interpretation:
2667 - Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "It has not changed (lam yatasannah)," meaning: It has not become putrid.
And the third interpretation:
2668 - al-Hasan b. Muhammad al-Sabbah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahhab reported to us, from Abu 'Amr b. al-'Ala': "It has not changed," meaning: The years have not passed over it.
His saying, the Exalted: "And look at your donkey."

2669 - My father narrated to me, 'Ali b. Muhammad al-Tanafisi reported to us, Waki' reported to us, from al-Nadr b. 'Arabi, from 'Ikrimah: "And look at your donkey." He said: When he stood up, he looked at its joints being separated, and each joint went to its counterpart. When the joints connected, they were clothed with flesh.
2670 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi: "And look at your donkey," when its bones had perished and decayed.
2671 - Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding his saying: "And look at your donkey," he said: He looked at his donkey when Allah brought it back to life.
And the second interpretation:
2672 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad b. 'Abd al-Rahman reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Abi Ja'far reported to us, from his father, from al-Rabi' b. Anas: "And look at your donkey," and it was as if his donkey was right there with him, just as it was.
