And the second interpretation:
2679 - al-Hasan b. Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, 'Abd al-Samad b. Ma'qil reported to us, that he heard Wahb b. Munabbih—meaning regarding His saying: "How We bring them together"—he said: He began looking at the bones, how some of them join to others.
And the third interpretation:
2680 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad b. Talhah reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And look at the bones, how We bring them together," he says: We move them, then We clothe them. Allah sent a wind, and it brought him the bones of the donkey from every plain and mountain—for birds and predators of the earth had taken them away—so they gathered, and some were joined onto others while he was watching, and it became a donkey of bones, with no flesh or blood on it.
And the fourth interpretation:
2681 - Abu 'Amir Isma'il b. 'Amr b. Sa'id al-Sakuni al-Himsi narrated to us, Ibrahim b. al-'Ala' al-Zubaydi reported to us, Abu 'Abd al-Malik 'Abd al-Wahid b. Maysarah al-Qurashi reported to us, from Abu Hafs Mubashir b. 'Ubayd, in his reading of "How We bring them together (nunshizuha)," he said: We raise them up.
His saying, the Exalted: "Then We clothe them with flesh"
2682 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding "Then We clothe them with flesh," he said: Allah clothed the bones with flesh and blood, and it stood up as a donkey of flesh and blood, in which there was no soul. Then an angel came walking until he took hold of the donkey's nostril and blew into it, and the donkey brayed.
2683 - My father narrated to us, 'Ali b. Muhammad al-Tanafisi reported to us, Waki' reported to us, from al-Nadr b. 'Arabi, from 'Ikrimah, meaning His saying: "Then We clothe them with flesh," he said: When the joints connected, they were clothed with flesh, then the flesh was clothed with sinews, then skin was stretched over it, then it was blown into its nostril, and it brayed.
His saying, the Exalted: "So when it became clear to him, he said, 'I know that Allah is over all things competent'"
