2698 - Ahmad b. 'Isam al-Ansari narrated to us, Mu'ammal reported to us, Sufyan reported to us, from Abu al-Haytham, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding His saying: "But that my heart may be settled," he said: "To increase in faith."

2699 - Hammad b. al-Hasan b. 'Anbasah narrated to us, Abu Dawud reported to us, from 'Amr b. Abi al-Miqdam, from his father, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding "that my heart may be settled," he said: "Through friendship (khullah)."

2700 - Muhammad b. Hammad al-Tahrani narrated to us, Hafs b. 'Umar informed us, al-Hakam b. Aban reported to us, from 'Ikrimah, regarding His saying: "He said, 'Yes, but that my heart may be settled,'" he said: "So that they may know that You give life to the dead."

2701 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, al-Nadr b. Isma'il reported to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, regarding "but that my heart may be settled," he said: "So that my eye may see."

2702 - al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Musa b. Muhallim reported to us, 'Abd al-Kabir b. 'Abd al-Majid reported to us, from 'Abbad b. Mansur, who said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "But that my heart may be settled," meaning: "So that my heart may know and become certain."
His saying, the Exalted: "He said, 'So take four of the birds.'"

2703 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj and Harun b. Ishaq narrated to us, they said: Hafs b. Ghiyath reported to us, from Shibl, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding "So take four of the birds," he said: "A pigeon, a rooster, a peacock, and a crow." It was narrated from 'Ikrimah the same as that.

لكي يعلموا انك تحي الْمَوْتَى.

٢٧٠١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي قَالَ: لَتَرَى عَيْنِي.

٢٧٠٢ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَلِّمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْكَبِيرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، عن عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي أَيْ: لِيَعْرِفَ قَلْبِي وَيَسْتَيقِنَ.

وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
