Translation · EN

His saying: "Wise."

And by way of his chain, from Ibn Abbas, regarding His saying: "Wise," meaning: He is the one who perfects what He intends, and He did this and showed it to me as part of His signs.

His saying, the Exalted: "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah"

2722 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman b. Ibrahim al-Dimashqi reported to us, Marwan b. Mu'awiyah reported to us, Subayh, the freed slave of the Banu Marwan, reported to us, from Makhul, regarding His saying: "Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah," he said: "This refers to the horses kept in the way of Allah."

[His saying, the Exalted: "In the way of Allah"]

[The first interpretation]

2723 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah b. Bukayr reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding His saying: "In the way of Allah," meaning: "In the obedience of Allah."

2724 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Isma'il b. Ibrahim b. Sam reported to us, Abu Isma'il al-Mu'addib reported to us, from 'Isa b. al-Musayyab al-Bajali, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: "When 'The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is as the example of a grain that grows seven ears, in each ear is a hundred grains' until the end of it was revealed, he said: 'My Lord, increase [the reward for] my Ummah.' Then it was revealed: 'Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan?' He said: 'My Lord, increase [the reward for] my Ummah.' Then it was revealed: 'Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.'"

2725 - Muhammad b. Hammad al-Tehrani narrated to us, Hafs b. 'Umar reported to us, al-Hakam b. Aban reported to us, from 'Ikrimah, regarding His saying: "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is as the example of a grain that grows seven ears, in each ear is a hundred grains," he said: "That is seven hundred."

2726 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding: "As the example of a grain that grows seven ears, in each ear is a hundred grains," he said: "This is for whoever spends in the way of Allah, for he has his reward seven hundred times over."

2727 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad b. 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Abi Ja'far reported to us, from his father, from al-Rabi', regarding His saying: "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is as the example of"
