2762 - 'Isam b. Rawwad narrated to us, Adam Abu Shaybah reported to us, from 'Ata' al-Khurasani, who said: Al-Wabil (the downpour): is abundant rain.
His saying: "And it brings forth its fruit twofold."
2763 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan b. al-Walid reported to us, Bukayr b. Ma'ruf informed me, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding His saying: "And it brings forth its fruit," meaning: its produce, "twofold."
His saying: "Twofold"
2764 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi, regarding "And it brings forth its fruit twofold": Just as the fruit of that garden is doubled, it is doubled for this person who spends, twofold.

2765 - 'Ammar b. Khalid narrated to us, Yazid reported to us, from 'Abd al-Malik b. Muslim b. Salam, who said: I heard Zayd b. Aslam saying regarding God's saying: "But if it does not receive a downpour, then a light rain," he said: That is the land of Egypt; if a light rain reaches it, it prospers, and if a downpour reaches it, it multiplies.
2766 - My father narrated to us, 'Isa b. Ja'far, the judge of al-Rayy, reported to us, Muslim b. Khalid reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding God's saying: "But if it does not receive a downpour, then a light rain," he said: The tall (light rain): is the dew. It was also narrated from 'Ikrimah, Qatadah, 'Ata' al-Khurasani, Muqatil b. Hayyan, al-Dahhak, al-Suddi, and al-Rabi' b. Anas similarly, except that al-Rabi' said: al-Tash (sprinkling).
2767 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan reported to us, al-Walid reported to us, Bukayr b. Ma'ruf informed me, from Muqatil: "Then a light rain," meaning by the tall: the drizzle of rain. This is a parable of one who does not spend his wealth for show or to be heard, nor does he follow his charity with reminders of his generosity to those he gives to.
And the Second Aspect:
2768 - al-Mundhir b. Shadhan narrated to us, Ya'la reported to us, he said: Juwaybir said regarding His saying: "But if it does not receive a downpour, then a light rain," he said: The rakk of rain. It was said to him: What is the rakk? He said: Gentle rain.
