from Bukayr b. Ma'ruf, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding His saying: "But if you repent, you may have your principal capital," so they said: "We repent to Allah and we leave behind what remains of interest," and they abandoned it.

2925 - Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Ishkab narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah b. Musa reported to us, from Shayban, from Shabib b. Gharqadah al-Bariqi, from Sulayman b. al-Ahwas, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave a sermon during the Farewell Pilgrimage and said: "Indeed, every interest from the pre-Islamic period is abolished for you, all of it. You shall have your principal capitals; you do not wrong, nor are you wronged. And the first interest to be abolished is the interest of al-'Abbas b. 'Abd al-Muttalib, all of it is abolished."
2926 - Al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Ishaq b. Isma'il reported to us, Yazid b. Zuray' reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "But if you repent, you may have your principal capital," [meaning] the wealth which they have [loaned] out to men; it was made permissible for them to have their principal capital when this verse was revealed. As for profit and excess, they have no right to it; it is not appropriate for them to take anything of it.
2927 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, Abu Tahir reported to us, Ibn Wahb reported to us, from Malik, and I asked him about the saying of Allah: "But if you repent, you may have your principal capital; you do not wrong, nor are you wronged." He said: This is only regarding the people of Islam.
His saying: "You do not wrong"
2928 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "You may have your principal capital; you do not wrong," [meaning] by increasing the interest.
2929 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, Musa b. Harun al-Dulabi reported to us, Marwan reported to us, from Juwaybir, from al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "You do not wrong," he said: [meaning] you do not take anything other than your principal capitals.
His saying: "Nor are you wronged"
2930 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, "nor are you wronged," [meaning] you are not diminished [in your capital].
عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، قوله: وإن تبتم فلكم رؤس أَمْوَالِكُمْ فَقَالُوا: نَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَنَذَرُ مَا بَقِيَ من الربا فتركوه.

٢٩٢٥ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ إِشْكَابَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ شَبِيبِ بْنِ غَرْقَدَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، فَقَالَ: أَلا إِنَّ كُلَّ رِبًا كَانَ فِي الجاهلية موضوع عنكم كله، لكم رؤس أَمْوَالِكُمْ لَا تَظْلِمُونَ وَلا تُظْلَمُونَ. وَأَوَّلُ رِبًا مَوْضُوعٍ، رِبَا الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، مَوْضُوعٌ كُلُّهُ.
٢٩٢٦ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَوْلُهُ: وَإِنْ تُبْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ رؤس أَمْوَالِكُمْ الْمَالُ الَّذِي لَهُمْ عَلَى ظُهُورِ الرِّجَالِ، جُعِلَ لهم رؤس أَمْوَالِهِمْ حِينَ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ، وَأَمَّا الرِّبْحُ وَالْفَضْلُ، فَلَيْسَ لَهُمْ، لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَأْخُذُوا مِنْهُ شَيْئًا.
٢٩٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، ثنا ابن وهب، عن ملك وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَإِنْ تُبْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ رؤس أَمْوَالِكُمْ لَا تَظْلِمُونَ وَلا تُظْلَمُونَ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا ذلك في أَهْلِ الإِسْلامِ.

٢٩٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عباس، قوله: فلكم رؤس أَمْوَالِكُمْ لَا تَظْلِمُونَ فَتُرْبُونَ.
٢٩٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ الدُّولابِيَّ، ثنا مَرْوَانُ عَنْ جُوَيْبِرٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ قَوْلُهُ: لَا تظلمون قال: تظلمون: لا تأخذوا غير رؤس أموالكم.

٢٩٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَلا تُظْلَمُونَ: فَتُنْقَصُونَ.
