[His saying: "And if you do"]
[The first aspect]
3027 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan b. Salih reported to us, al-Walid b. Muslim reported to us, Bukayr b. Ma'ruf reported to us, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding the saying of Allah: "And if you do," he says: And if you do not do that which Allah has commanded you in the verse of debt, it is a sin and disobedience. A similar [report] was narrated from al-Dahhak.

3028 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah b. Bukayr reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "And if you do," he means: That you harm the scribe or the witness, or [do] that which you have been forbidden from, for it is an act of wickedness (fisq) on your part. A similar [report] was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas.
His saying: "For it is an act of wickedness (fisq) on your part"
3029 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah b. Salih reported to us, from 'Ali b. Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding his saying: "For it is an act of wickedness (fisq) on your part," he means by "fisq": disobedience. A similar [report] was narrated from Mujahid, Sa'id b. Jubayr, 'Ata' b. Dinar, and al-Rabi' b. Anas.
His saying: "And fear Allah"
3030 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr: Then He cautioned them, saying: "And fear Allah," and do not disobey Him regarding them both.
His saying: "And fear Allah... and Allah is All-Knowing of everything"
3031 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "And Allah is All-Knowing of everything," he means: of your deeds.
His saying: "And if you are on a journey and find no scribe"

3032 - Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Yahya b. Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, Abu Dawud reported to us, Thabit b. Yazid reported to us, from 'Asim al-Ahwal, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: "If you find no scribe," and you find no pen, and no inkwell—he said: and he mentioned the scroll—"and you find no scribe" who can assemble all of that. He said: And such was the recitation of Ubayy.

٣٠٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مسلم، ابنا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَإِنْ تَفْعَلُوا يَقُولُ: وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا الَّذِي أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ فِي آيَةِ الدَّيْنِ، فَإِنَّهُ إِثْمٌ وَمَعْصِيَةٌ. وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.

٣٠٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَإِنْ تَفْعَلُوا يَعْنِي: أَنْ تُضَارُّوا الْكَاتِبَ أَوِ الشَّاهِدَ، أَوْ مَا نُهِيتُمْ عَنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ فُسُوقٌ بِكُمْ وَرُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، نَحْوُ هَذَا.
قَوْلُهُ: فَإِنَّهُ فُسُوقٌ بِكُمْ
٣٠٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَإِنَّهُ فُسُوقٌ بِكُمْ يَعْنِي بِالْفُسُوقِ: الْمَعْصِيَةَ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَعَطَاءِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ نحو ذلك
قوله: وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ

قوله: واتقوا اللَّهُ ... وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

٣٠٣٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: إِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا كَاتِبًا، وَلَمْ تَجِدُوا قَلَمًا، وَلا دَوَاةً، قَالَ: وَذَكَرَ الصَّحِيفَةَ وَلَمْ تَجِدُوا كَاتِبًا يَجْمَعُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ. فَقَالَ: وَكَذَلِكَ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَةُ أُبَيٍّ.
