3071 - Al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Ishaq b. Isma'il reported to us, Yazid b. Zuray' reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, Qatadah reported to us, regarding His saying: "The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord"—it was mentioned to us that when this verse was revealed, he said: "And it is fitting for him to believe."
His saying, the Exalted: "And the believers. All have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers"
3072 - My father narrated to us, Yahya b. al-Mughirah reported to us, Jarir informed us, from 'Ata' b. al-Sa'ib, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding His saying: "The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord and the believers. All have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers" up to His saying: "and to You is the [final] destination," he said: It was what they were told: "Say: We have believed."
3073 - I read to Muhammad b. al-Fadl b. Musa, Muhammad b. 'Ali b. al-Husayn b. Shaqiq reported to us, Muhammad b. Muzahim informed us, from Bukayr b. Ma'ruf, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding His saying: "The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord and the believers. All have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers"—this is a statement said by Allah, and a statement of the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and a statement of the believers. So Allah praised them for what He knew of their belief in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers.
His saying, the Exalted: "[We make] no distinction between any of His messengers"
3074 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan reported to us, al-Walid reported to us, Bukayr b. Ma'ruf reported to us, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding the saying of Allah: "[We make] no distinction between any of His messengers," he said: We do not disbelieve in what the messengers have brought, we do not differentiate between any of them, and we do not deny.
3075 - 'Ali b. al-Husayn narrated to us, Ibrahim b. al-Hasan al-'Allaf al-Basri reported to us, 'Abd al-Warith reported to us, Ishaq b. Suwayd reported to us, from Yahya b. Ya'mar, that he used to recite: "All have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers. [We make] no distinction between any of His messengers," saying: "All have believed, and all do not differentiate."
His saying: "And they say: We hear"
3076 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Safwan reported to us, al-Walid reported to us, Bukayr b. Ma'ruf reported to us, from Muqatil b. Hayyan, regarding His saying: "And they say: We hear and we obey"—we have heard the Qur'an which came from Allah.
