Hazzan al-Khawlani reported to us, al-Zuhri narrated to me, Sa'id b. Marjanah narrated to us, he said: Ibn 'Abbas said: So Allah the Mighty and Majestic revealed: "Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what it has gained" of action.

3088 - My father narrated to us, Qabisah reported to us, Sufyan reported to us, from Musa b. 'Ubaydah, from Khalid b. Zayd, from Muhammad b. Ka'b al-Qurazi: "It will have [the consequence of] what it has gained" of good.

3089 - My father narrated to us, 'Arim reported to us, Hushaym reported to us, Sayyar Abu al-Hakam reported to us, from al-Sha'bi, from Abu 'Ubaydah b. 'Abd Allah, regarding the saying of Allah: "And whether you show what is within yourselves or conceal it, Allah will bring you to account for it" (the verse)—it was abrogated by the verse after it: "It will have [the consequence of] what it has gained, and upon it [the consequence of] what it has earned."
