1969 - 'Isam b. Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding His saying: "Ask the Children of Israel how many a clear sign have We given them?" He said: "Allah gave them clear signs: the staff of Moses, his hand, He parted the sea for them, and He drowned their enemy while they were looking. He shaded them with clouds, and He sent down upon them manna and quails."

It was narrated from Qatadah and al-Rabi' b. Anas similar to that.

1970 - al-Hajjaj b. Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "Ask the Children of Israel how many a clear sign have We given them?" What was mentioned of them in the Quran, and what was not mentioned.

It was narrated from Mujahid, al-Rabi' b. Anas, and al-Suddi similar to that.

His saying, Exalted is He: "The life of this world has been beautified for those who disbelieve"

1972 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, al-Hasan b. 'Amr Bayya' al-Sabiri informed us, Yazid b. Zuray' narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "The life of this world has been beautified for those who disbelieve," it is their concern, their grief, their pursuit, and their intention.

1973 - 'Ali b. al-Mubarak informed us in what he wrote to me, Zayd b. al-Mubarak narrated to us, Ibn Thawr narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj: "The life of this world has been beautified for those who disbelieve," he said: "The disbelievers seek the world and pursue it."

His saying: "And they mock those who believe"

1974 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, al-Hasan b. 'Amr Bayya' al-Sabiri informed us, Yazid b. Zuray' narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And they mock those who believe, and they say: 'These are not upon anything,'" as a mockery and derision."
