Ishaq, regarding His saying: "Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven." Nothing is hidden from Him in the earth nor in the heaven of what they come intending and plotting.

3155 - Muhammad b. Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan reported to us, Salama reported to us, he said: Muhammad b. Ishaq said: "Indeed, from Allah nothing is hidden in the earth nor in the heaven." That is: He already knows what they intend, what they plot, and what they liken in their statement regarding Jesus, when they made him a lord and a god, while they have knowledge that he is other than that, out of audacity toward Allah and disbelief in Him.

His saying (the Exalted): "It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills."

3156 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, 'Amr b. Hammad reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills." He said: "When the drop of fluid settles in the womb, it moves about in the body for forty days, then it is a leech-like clot for forty days, then it is a lump of flesh for forty days. When it reaches the stage of being formed, Allah sends an angel to shape it. The angel comes with soil between his fingers and mixes it into the lump of flesh, then kneads it with it. Then he shapes it as he is commanded and says: 'Is it a male or a female? Is it wretched or prosperous? What is its provision? What is its lifespan? What is its trace? What are its afflictions?' Allah (the Exalted) speaks and the angel writes. Then when that body dies, it is buried where that soil was taken from."

3157 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad b. 'Abd al-Rahman reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Abi Ja'far reported to us, from his father, from al-Rabi': "It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills." That is: He formed Jesus in the womb as He willed. "There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

3158 - My father narrated to us, Musa b. Isma'il reported to us, Hammad reported to us, from al-Zubayr Abu 'Abd al-Salam, from Ayyub b. 'Abd Allah al-Fihri, that Ibn Mas'ud said: "It is He who forms you in the wombs as He wills. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." He said: "What is in the wombs is brought, and He looks into them for three hours."

His saying: "as He wills"

3159 - Musa b. Harun al-Tusi informed us, in what he wrote to me, al-Husayn b. Muhammad
