b. Marzuq, both said: Yazid reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Yunus informed us, from Sayyar Abu al-Hakam that 'Umar b. al-Khattab recited: "Beautified for people is the love of desires of women," then he said: Now, O Lord, now that You have beautified them in the hearts.
3249 - My father narrated to us, al-Fadl b. Dukayn Abu Nu'aym reported to us, Abu al-Ashhab reported to us, from al-Hasan regarding His saying: "Beautified for people is the love of desires," he said: There is no one who blames them more severely than their Creator.

3250 - al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Musa b. Muhkam reported to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi reported to us, 'Abbad b. Mansur reported to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "Beautified for people is the love of desires of women and sons," he said: Satan beautified them for them.
3251 - 'Ali b. Harb al-Mawsili narrated to us, al-Qasim b. Yazid reported to us, from Hisham b. Sa'd, from Zayd b. Aslam, from his father, he said: I saw 'Abd Allah b. Arqam come to 'Umar b. al-Khattab with some spoils (1) from the spoils of Jalula': silver vessels on reeds placed on a leather mat. He said: O Allah, You mentioned this and said: "Beautified for people is the love of desires of women and sons," until the end of the verse. And You said: "So that you do not despair over what has eluded you and do not exult in what He has given you" (2). We are unable to do anything but exult in what You have beautified for us. O Allah, make us spend it in truth, and I seek refuge in You from its evil (3).
His saying, the Exalted: "Of women and sons"
3252 - My father narrated to us, Muslim b. Ibrahim reported to us, Salam Abu al-Mundhir reported to us, Thabit reported to us, from Anas, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "There have been made beloved to me from the world (4) women and perfume, and the coolness of my eyes has been placed in prayer."
His saying, the Exalted: "And the hoarded heaps (of gold and silver)."
[The First Aspect]
3253 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Waki' reported to us, from Musa b. 'Ubaydah, from Muhammad b. Ibrahim al-Taymi, from Yuhannas, from Umm al-Darda', she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:

بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ قَالا: ثنا يَزِيدُ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ قَرَأَ: زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ ثُمّ قَالَ: الآنَ يَا رَبِّ وَقَدْ زَيَّنْتَهَا فِي الْقُلُوبِ.
٣٢٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا أَبُو الأَشْهَبِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ قَالَ: مَا أَحَدٌ أَشَدُّ لَهَا ذَمًّا مِنْ خَالِقِهَا.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٣٢٥٠ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحْكَمٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ، ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ: زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ من النساء والبنين قَالَ: زَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ.
٣٢٥١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أسم، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ جَاءَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ حِلْيَةٍ «١» مِنْ حِلْيَةِ جَلُولاءِ: آنِيَةِ فِضَّةٍ عَلَى قَصَبٍ عَلَى نِطْعٍ، فَقَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ ذَكَرْتَ هَذَا فَقُلْتَ: زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ حَتَّى خَتَمَ الآيَةَ. وَقُلْتَ لِكَيْلا تَأْسَوْا عَلَى مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلا تَفْرَحُوا بِمَا آتَاكُمْ «٢» فَإِنَّا لَا نَسْتَطِيعُ إِلا أَنْ نَفْرَحَ بِمَا زَيَّنَتَ لَنَا، اللَّهُمَّ فَاجْعَلْنَا نُنْفِقُهُ فِي حَقٍّ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ «٣» .
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ
٣٢٥٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا سَلامٌ أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ، ثنا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: حُبِّبَ إِلَيَّ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا «٤» النِّسَاءُ وَالطِّيبُ، وَجُعِلَتْ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي فِي الصَّلاةِ.
