I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, reading this verse: "All-Hearing, All-Seeing." He said: "All-Seeing of everything."
His saying, the Exalted: "Those who say: 'Our Lord! We have indeed believed,'" to His saying: "the punishment of the Fire."
3290 - My father narrated to us, Abu Nu'aym reported to us, 'Abd al-Salam, meaning Ibn Shaddad, meaning Abu Talut, reported to us; he said: I was with Anas, and Thabit al-Bunani said to him: "Your brothers love for you to pray for them." He said: "O Allah, grant us in this world good, and in the Hereafter good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire." Then they conversed for a while. When they wanted to stand up, they said: "O Abu Hamzah, your brothers wish to depart, so pray to Allah for them." He said: "Do you want me to split matters for you? If Allah has granted you in this world good, and in the Hereafter good, and saved you from the punishment of the Fire, then He has indeed granted you all goodness."
His saying, the Exalted: "The patient ones."
3291 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya b. 'Abd Allah b. Bukayr reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' b. Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id b. Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "The patient ones," he says: Upon the command of Allah.
3292 - Al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Ishaq b. Isma'il al-Murayi reported to us, Yazid b. Zuray' reported to us, Sa'id b. Bashir reported to us, from Qatadah: "The patient ones," a people who were patient in their obedience to Allah and patient in refraining from His prohibitions.
His saying: "And the truthful ones."

3293 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya reported to us, 'Abd Allah b. Lahi'ah reported to us, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id, regarding the saying of Allah: "And the truthful ones," he said: In their faith.
And the second interpretation:
3294 - Al-Hasan b. Ahmad narrated to us, Ishaq b. Isma'il al-Murayi reported to us, Yazid b. Zuray' reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah: "And the truthful ones," he said: A people whose intention was truthful, so their actions, their hearts, and their tongues were upright, and they were truthful in private and in public.
